By Standlee Premium Western Forage

Many horse owners are aware that alfalfa has been blamed (justly or unjustly) for many problems associated with horse health. “Too much of this nutrient” and “not enough of that nutrient” are common phrases found in discussions regarding alfalfa hay for horses. Standlee Nutritional Experts Dr. Stephen Duren and Dr. Tania Cubitt discuss three common misconceptions surrounding feeding alfalfa to horses in a recent blog post on the Standlee Premium Western Forage website.
