Let Us Do the Hard Work

Do you lack the confidence, consistency or time to train your horse? If so, you’re not alone, and Clinton has a solution. His Academy Horse Program allows followers of the Method to send their horses to the ranch to be trained in the Fundamentals, Intermediate and Advanced levels of his tried-and-true training program.

Horses begin by completing the Fundamentals training, a six-week program that teaches horses the groundwork and riding exercises from the Fundamentals Series in the arena and on the trail. Horses are worked consistently over the obstacle course, and horses learn to be hobbled, to load on a trailer and to stand tied patiently. The majority of an Academy Horse’s training is done on the trail because Clinton knows that’s where most of his customers like to spend their time and he firmly believes that all horses should be able to be ridden confidently outside on a loose rein.

Horses accepted into the program are trained by Clinton’s Academy students and their progress through the Fundamentals is overseen daily by Clinton. Horses accepted into the program range from colts that need started to last-ditch-effort problem horses that have seriously injured people and have been turned away by other trainers. Although the horses all enroll in the Academy with varied backgrounds, they all leave with common traits – they’re safer, more respectful and more enjoyable to be around.

Not only do the horses improve, but so do their owners. At the end of each training session, the owner is invited to the ranch for an entire day’s lesson to learn what their horse has been taught and how to continue to progress his training at home. Help doesn’t stop there, though – each owner is given the guarantee of a lifetime of support to contact Downunder Horsemanship at any time to get help with any issue they’re having with their horse. To learn how you can enroll your horse in the Academy Horse Program, visit the Academy Horse website.
