Watch Clinton’s Pre-Futurity Training Session With Bailey

In the newest release in the performance horse series, Clinton shares a training session with his 3-year-old filly Bailey. The session was filmed at the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch in September 2024. At the time, Clinton was focused on preparing Bailey for the National Reined Cow Horse Association Futurity the following month.

In this session, Clinton warms Baily up with the exercise Hinging at the Jog. It’s a great exercise to finesse a horse’s overall softness and get rid of any stiffness in their body.

After warming Bailey up, Clinton gets out a cow to work. The lesson is focused on improving Bailey’s ability to read a cow and teaching her to be patient and listen to Clinton’s cues.
