Find It On the No Worries Club: Riding Your Horse Away From Home

When you first start taking your horse away from home, you can count on him not behaving the same dependable way that he does in your arena. “He’s going to be distracted, whinnying out to other horses, spooking, etc. That behavior is completely normal,” Clinton says.

In the December 2018 No Worries Club video, “Riding Your Horse Away From Home,” Clinton explains how he builds his horses’ confidence in new environments. “I cover everything from unloading your horse from the trailer to groundwork exercises to get him dialed in to you to knowing when to get in the saddle. I also explain softening and suppling exercises and “listen to me” exercises you can do with your horse once you do get in the saddle,” Clinton says.

Watch the video by logging on to the Downunder Horsemanship app or the No Worries Club website. To find the video on the app, go to the NWC Video category and select the video, “Riding Your Horse Away From Home.”
